Dental Implants Are the Gold Standard of Tooth Replacement
Living with tooth loss is never pleasant, yet over 178 million Americans are missing at least one tooth. Without replacing missing teeth, you run the risk of jaw bone deterioration, your facial appearance changing, and even the shifting or loss of surrounding teeth! In order to restore the appearance of your smile, the function to your mouth and health to your jaw, we offer the gold standard in tooth replacement—dental implants. Natural-looking and long-lasting, implants are ideal for replacing anywhere from one missing tooth to an entire arch of missing teeth. Dental implants have three parts, a titanium post that integrates and fuses to your jaw bone, an abutment that rises from the gum line and a dental crown to restore tooth function and appearance to your smile.
What Are the Components of an Advanced Dental Implant
Dental implants have three parts; a titanium post crafted by the prestigious BioHorizons®, which integrates and fuses to your jaw bone, an abutment that rises from the gum line and a dental crown to restore tooth function and appearance to your smile. Implants offer many benefits, including:
- Natural appearance
- Improves oral health
- Increases self-confidence
- Long lasting with proper care
- Strong biting and chewing function

YOUR DENTAL IMPLANT OPTIONS
Dental implants blend seamlessly into the smile to replace missing teeth with screw-like implants that adhere with the jaw bone. As you bite and chew with the attached dental crown, the implant provides the same bone stimulation as a natural tooth root, which keeps your bone levels healthy and protects the integrity of your smile.
Single dental implant: If you are missing even one tooth, your oral health is at risk. Without a tooth to stimulate the jaw bone, bone atrophy begins to occur which can lead to shifting of other teeth or increased risk of infection. We can replace your missing tooth with a natural-looking implant and crown the same day a tooth is removed.
Multiple dental implants: Missing more than one tooth is common and should be addressed immediately. Unlike a tooth supported bridge which relies on surrounding teeth to support the restoration, implants provide a healthy, more natural alternative to bridges, which will never shift, decay or require root canal treatment.
Full arch dental implants: If you have dentures and are looking for a more stable, healthier alternative, we can complete your smile in one visit. This option uses a number of dental implants (as few as four) surgically placed in the jaw bone to support a custom, natural-looking prosthesis. There are no pastes or need to worry about slipping dentures; this option is designed to stay in place.
Superior, Advanced Technology for A Precise Implant Surgery
At Clearwater Dental Associates we both place dental implants and beautifully restore them so that you can receive all your care in one location. Our process begins with a cone beam CT scan (CBCT) that gives us a detailed view of your jaw and surrounding structures. We are able to evaluate the levels of bone, locate nerves and tooth roots and accurately plan your dental implant surgery. Depending on your levels of jaw bone, we may need to perform a bone graft so the implant post has enough structure to fuse to successfully.
The Dental Implant Process
We perform our implant surgeries using a computer-generated guide that is custom created to your mouth. This allows us to have more accurate and predictable results. We trust in BioHorizons® brand of dental implants for their quality, longevity and predictability during surgery. Your implant will need several months to heal and firmly fuse to the bone in your jaw, and during that time a trusted dental lab will create a lifelike crown that matches your surrounding teeth. Once the dental crown is attached, your new dental implant can last you many years with proper at-home care.
Dental Implant Cost
Because each patient is so different from one another, the cost of dental implants varies per case. Many factors go into determining the overall cost of each implant surgery, including:
- Teeth extraction
- Number of implants placed
- Bone grafting needed
- Treatment of gum disease
- Denture alterations
