Nolan W. Allen, DDS
|
Dr. Nolan W. Allen is a graduate of Indiana University and the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Allen served two years as a Captain in the United States Army Dental Corps, then moved to Clearwater and became a founding partner of Clearwater Dental Associates.
Dr. Allen has been very active in local professional and civic organizations over the years, and was a founding Trustee of The Long Center for Recreation in Clearwater. He is a Past President and Legion of Honor recipient of the Springtime City Kiwanis Club of Clearwater and past Board member of the Upper Pinellas Chapter of the American Red Cross. He served as a President of both the Upper Pinellas County Dental Association and the West Coast District Dental Association, and will serve as President of the Florida Dental Association for one year beginning June 14, 2007. He also serves as a Delegate to the American Dental Association House of Delegates.
Dr. Allen is a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the West Coast Dental Association and the Upper Pinellas County Dental Association, the Florida Academy of Dental Practice Administration, and a Supporter of the L.D. Pankey Alumni Association. He is honored to be a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Outside of the office, Dr. Allen enjoys golfing, jogging, and spending time at his North Carolina getaway vacation home.

James R. Hayslett, DDS
|
Dr James R. Hayslett received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Hayslett was a full time member of the dental faculty at the University of Sydney in Australia in 2001, and currently serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. He is a member of many professional organizations and was elected to a Fellowship in the American College of Dentistry.
Dr. Hayslett has lived in Clearwater for over 30 years. He was an avid gymnast and pole vaulter in college. Now, he enjoys traveling to exotic locations and spending time with his eight grandchildren!

Matthew R. Burton, DMD
|
Dr. Matthew R. Burton is a Clearwater native, and a graduate of Clearwater High School. Dr. Burton completed his undergraduate studies at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry.
Dr. Burton is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Florida Dental Association and the Upper Pinellas County Dental Association. Dr. Burton serves as the coordinator for Project: Dentists Care for the Upper Pinellas County Dental Association. This position involves planning and coordinating the Give Kids a Smile event every year. The event provides pro bono dental care to children who are unable to receive dental care on a routine basis.
Outside of the office, Dr. Burton enjoys traveling, golf, racquetball and spending time with family and friends. He is an avid fan of the Tampa Bay Bucs, Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa Bay Devil Rays and the Miami Hurricanes.

Maria C. Hernandez, DMD
|
Dr. Maria C. Hernandez is a graduate of the University of Miami and the University of Florida College of Dentistry. She completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at the St. Petersburg campus of the University of Florida in 1992.
Dr. Hernandez has a special interest in oral surgery, preventive management, and cosmetic dental techniques. She was an assistant clinical professor for the University of Florida College of Dentistry and a part-time instructor at the St. Petersburg residency program. Dr. Hernandez also served as a National Delegate to the Academy of General Dentistry, and is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the West Coast Dental Association, and the Upper Pinellas County Dental Association. Dr. Hernandez has been practicing at Clearwater Dental Associates since 1992.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hernandez enjoys snow skiing, traveling and spending time with her three beautiful daughters.
